Q: How old does my child need to be before enrolling at K.I.D.S. School?
A: K.I.D.S. School is a preschool and pre-kindergarten program. Children must be 3 years of age by July 31st for the preschool program, and age 4 by July 31st for the pre-kindergarten program.
Q: Does my child need to be potty trained?
A: Licensing requires all children to be potty trained (no pull ups at night). An extra change of clothes are also required to be kept at school.
Q: Are there any health requirements?
A: All children must have a TB test, physical examine, and up to date immunizations.
Q: Do I need to provide lunch for my child?
A: Yes. Parents provide a healthy lunch and a drink for their child for each day (No candy, gum, or ice tea). We provide morning and afternoon snack each day based on the Department of Educations child nutrition program guidelines.
Q: Are parents allowed to participate during school?
A: Parents are required to attend at least two school days during the year. In addition we require all parents to help with our major fundraiser in November.
Q: What should my child wear?
A: Each child is required to wear their school t-shirt, and solid blue, white or black bottoms. Every friday is Aloha friday attire.
Q: Will my child attend any field trips?
A: Each friday we walk to the nearby public library. There are usually 4-5 field trips per year, parents are welcome to join (limited number of spots for some trips).
Q: How early should I sign up to enroll my child?
A: Due to the high demand we recommend placing your child on our waiting list ASAP. Some parents have placed their children on the list as soon as the child is born in order to guarantee.
Q: Can my child attend for less than 5 days a week?
A: Our preschool operates 7am-5pm Monday through Friday year round. We have one rate regardless of days attended, and encourage students to attend regularly to avoid missing crafts and projects.
Q: Do you accept tuition assistance?
A: Parents who receive tuition assistance can use it as long as the money is paid directly to the school.
